Best Friend Forever is the first title from Starcolt, a dating sim with management sim elements in the form of dog training & care. I took up the helm with creative direction, and am also responsible for all the game design, UI/UX design and UI art production on the title.
Particular parts of this game’s design process that stood out to me would be: designing simultaneous journeys for two main characters; riffing on established dating sim UI paradigms and fitting in a tamagotchi-like pupper into them; making the management sim aspect of the game in-depth enough but still accessible for both genre audiences.
